Clément Loyer is a young architecture student at ENSA Nantes in France. As part of a study, Clément Loyer had the task to create a parametric furniture concept. The La Baule-Escoublac, France based student decided to design a bench that draws inspiration from the fluidity of shapes found in the deep sea. His aim was to design a furniture piece that offers a stout form, that’s why the modification of a whale-shark seemed to be an obvious choice. Below you can see some 3D renderings of his concept.

The flowing forms of this bench are inspired by the organic shapes found in the deep sea.
The construction consists of numerous 35 mm plywood panels.
